Recreational Bike Trail Kiosk and sheltered picnic site located at 6th Street South and Main Avenue on the Mississippi River. This site also features a drinking foundation and port-pot.

Where can I ride my bike? Illinois Mississippi River front: a 62-mile trial goes all the way from the Rock River in Sunset Park, Rock Island on through Moline, East Moline, Hampton, Rapids City, Port Byron and Cordova up to Thomson, Illinois. This is part of the Great River Trail In Rock Island, the trail goes through city parks and past industrial areas, towboat moorings, the Quad City Botanical Center and Arsenal Island with eagles galore during the winter month. In Moline, this trail also is known as the Ralph B Birks trail, picking up at Sylvan Island at the Rock Island border and continuing along the Ben Butterworth Parkway, with playground equipment and duck-feeding opportunities, and past the John Deere Commons with all kinds of attractions. Sylvan Island is an urban treasure with trails of its own, including those for mountain bikes. In East Moline, this trail takes riders 3.2 miles from border to border with views of the Miss- issippi River. "The Quarter" commercial/residential development and Empire Park, with its expensive playground equipment. A portion rides along the top of the levee that was built after the 1965 flood to protect the former International Harvester and Deere plants.
